Winnie Couture Avalynn 3227 Short unclassified dresses

I bought this dress last summer at the Beverly Hills location of Winnie Couture.  "Avalynn 3227" is a beautiful cream-colored dress, with a fit-and-flare shape, lots of lace, and beautiful beading (with just the right amount of sparkle; not over-the-top blingy, and just enough to get the "wow!" reaction).  The beading around the waist is absolutely beautiful and gives even more shape.  My wedding was six months ago and folks still compliment me on the dress!

I absolutely loved how this dress fit!  Because it's a couture gown, you don't need any shapewear at all (this was a relief for me because it was one less thing to do/buy; plus, made it easier to get ready on the wedding day, and I felt so confident that the dress would look good as-is).  The dress itself provides enough structure and shape to give you a beautiful silhouette.  I was worried about wearing a strapless dress because I didn’t want to deal with the dress falling down and having to pull it up every two minutes – but couture dresses don’t have that problem!  This dress will stay on you – it’s got built in boning, and won’t slide down.

And here's even more information, in case you're still reading :)

  • Storage before the wedding: I had the dress for three months before the wedding.  It was stored in a closet with plenty of breathing room in a garment bag that came with the dress (in a smoke-free, pet-free home).
  • On the wedding day: I had the train out for the ceremony and photos only.  After that, I had the train bustled for the rest of the night.  I took photos in a garden with paved walkways, the rest of the wedding was indoors.  I'm 5'5" and wore 2-inch heels (the dress is cut to 5"6') so it was 1 inch off of the ground (I did that on purpose, because I didn't want the dress to drag).  I must say, the dress did drag a little bit in the back, so there is likely to be small areas of damage toward the edges.  (Unfortunately, I did not take a good look at the dress before I dropped it off at the cleaners and the dress is in a sealed box so I can't open it to take photos of anything...)
  • I'm available by email, phone, skype, google hangout, etc. to answer any questions about the dress, to provide additional photos, and/or to negotiate price.
